If you experience dental sensitivity, you should call us. You should also schedule a checkup, so we get to see firsthand what’s causing the sensitive tissue, while we can then extend solutions that will make teeth feel so much better.
We know you might not really want to know what’s going on because you’re nervous or you may hope that your dental sensitivity goes away. However, we never suggest procrastinating. When you do this, if your sensitivity is the result of something like decay, you’re simply providing a problem time to flourish. Call us immediately instead.
You should be extremely careful with your smile if you have dental sensitivity! Don’t eat hard, crunchy foods, hot foods, or icy cold foods. Don’t use your teeth to do all sorts of things they’re not meant to do (like pull apart a package). Don’t brush hard or floss hard. Be nice and gentle. It will help protect you from additional discomfort.
Maybe you’re not happy with the way your smile looks. You’ve thought about seeing us for cosmetic dentistry but you’re worried that because of your dental sensitivity, we won’t be able to help you. So, you think maybe you should just hope for the best, pretend things are fine, and treat your smile on your own with teeth whitening. This isn’t something you should do! When you pretend things are fine and take your care into your own hands, you can make sensitivity and any existing problems much worse. See us very soon instead!
Don’t wait around when dental sensitivity is affecting you. Instead, take it upon yourself to call us as soon as you can for a visit! Set up an appointment in Grand Prairie, TX by contacting your dentist at Pecan Tree Dental to schedule a visit at (972) 262-5111.
