You may generally think that drinking water is good for your body but you may fail to realize that a hydrated body is a hydrated mouth! If you’ve been drinking a lot of soda, it’s quite hot outside, or you just haven’t been taking in much water, increase your consumption. Drinking around 64 ounces of water a day is great for your body and your lips, too.
Is your lip health something to worry about? No! Is it something to pay attention to? Of course. If you notice changes to your lips, such as blisters, sores, or discomfort, come in for a visit. Anything from a cold sore to oral cancer to a dry patch can occur – the sooner you find out what’s happening (and whether you need treatment), the sooner your lips can go back to their usual selves.
Want to keep those lips healthy? Protect them from the elements by swiping on lip balm at least once a day or before bed. Want to protect them from the sun’s harmful rays? Your lip health will stay in good shape with SPF balm.
