Every Saturday until mid-December, you can visit the Grand Prairie farmer’s market. This is a great opportunity to support local farmers, shop for seasonal produce, and meet local artists in your area. Delicious produce like figs, grapes, broccoli, and, of course, pumpkins, are in season during the month of October. You can take your picks home from the market and turn them into tasty meals during the week. If you can’t decide what to make, you can check out these recipes from Chef Michael Weinstein.
Do your kids have an interest in big trucks or police vehicles? You can bring them to the Touch a Truck event at the Epic Waters Parking lot this Saturday starting at 10am. During this event, you can meet with local first responders and take a look at what the inside of their vehicles look like. Meeting with first responders is a great way to get your kids familiarized with these essential helpers within the community. This exciting activity is a free event for people of all ages.
Don’t worry, we didn’t forget about your pets! You can bring your pets to the Bark or Treat Trail for pet-safe treats. This event is hosted by Grand Prairie Animal Services, so while you’re here, learn more about pet adoption services. There will be an indoor trick or treat trail for your pets, a craft room for the kids, and more!
Enjoy these fun festivities with a healthy smile! Call Pecan Tree Dental in Grand Prairie, TX, today at 972) 262-5111 to schedule an appointment.
