Upcoming Events In Grand Prairie

On Fridays, we like to use our blog to focus on our community. Now that summer is here, there are always fun and exciting activities happening in our city, from festivals to concerts and more. In today’s blog, your Grand Prairie, TX, dentist talks about some fun and unique events happening in our community this weekend and throughout the month of June. There is always an event or festival to celebrate, and a chance to bond with your friends and family, and get to know your community a little better in the process!

Summer Solstice Festival

The Summer Solstice Festival takes place today from 5pm until 10pm at JamBox at EpicCentral on 2961 South State Highway 161. You can see some amazing singer-songwriters from Texas perform, including Ryan Berg, The Woodsmen, Paul Renna, Guthrie Kennard, Even Boyer, and Dakota Ragsdill. The evening is hosted by Jason Pardo of KJPR Global and Texas Select Radio. Celebrate the longest day of the year with an evening of amazing music with your friends and family!

Teen Pickleball Night

On Monday, June 23rd you can bring your teen in for a night of pickleball! Teen Pickleball Night takes place at the Chicken N Pickle on 2965 South Highway 161. The event is from 8pm to 10pm, and no sign up is necessary! You just need to sign a waiver to participate. Enjoy this outdoor event with your kids!

Summer Concert Series

The Summer Concert Series continues, so mark your calendars! The next event is Thursday, July 10th from 7pm until 9pm. The show takes place at the Lynn Creek Park at Joe Pool Lake, and is hosted by the Grand Prairie Parks, Arts, and Recreation department. July 10th is country night, with performances from The Neon Prophets. Admission is free for residents, while nonresidents just need to pay $20 per vehicle. Enjoy a night of country music fun!

Dollar Day and Lone Star Turf Festival

Lone Star Park is hosting Dollar Day and Lone Star Turf Festival on Saturday, June 28th starting at 1:35pm. The event is located at 1000 Lone Star Parkway. Gates open at noon and admission is just one dollar, while parking is free. Admission gets you Pepsi, hot dogs, popcorn, beer, and entry to Lone Star Today programs. There will also be live music on the Courtyard of Champions Stage from 1pm until 5pm, with performances from Emerald City’s Party Machine.  Don’t miss out, plan your day now.
