Celebrate the holidays and enjoy a fun evening with your family by checking out the Tianyu Lights Festival in Dallas from now through January 19th at the Festival Ground of Texas Trust CU Theatre, on 1001 Texas Trust Way. Located near Lone Star Park, this light display tells the story of Koda, a seven-year-old boy on an adventure through a rainforest in Caballaococha, Peru. There are 19 handcrafted LED light displays, lantern installations, and more, with acrobats and folk performers too. You can purchase tickets, ranging from $16 to $35.
Your family can also enjoy holiday lights at the Prairie Lights display from now through the 31st. The display is located at Lynn Creek Park at Joe Pool Lake. The display starts at 6pm each night and lasts until 10pm. There are over 4 million lights in this two-mile display, with brand new displays and a Holiday Village. You can leave the car and enjoy free carnival rides, concessions, photos with Santa, and a walk thru forest. You can also do some holiday shopping and enjoy an epic finale!
There are even more light displays in town! The Illuvia Holiday Show takes from now through the 31st of December. The display is at EpicCentral on 2961 South highway 161. They are open each night from 6pm until 11pm. You can see amazing light displays with projections, holiday music, and more, all for free.
Do you want to pick up some fresh food and baked goods, or maybe find something unique for your holiday shopping? Then check out the Farmers Market on Saturday December 7th from 8am until 1pm at 120 West Main Street. You can pick up goods from local artisans, bakers, farmers, and more!
On Sunday December 8th, you can enjoy Brunch and Bingo at the Chicken N Pickle on 2965 South Highway 161 from 11am until 1pm. You can play bingo, check out our brunch buffet, and enjoy a relaxing Sunday afternoon with the family.
