Teen Pickleball Night
The Chicken N Pickle is hosting Teen Pickleball Night at 2965 South Highway 161. These events will take place each Monday from 8pm to 10pm, with the next one happening on Monday June 9th. These will happen from now through July 28th, and kids can enjoy free open play under lights. There is no sign-up required, but participants will need to sign a waiver.
Outlet Shopping Day
National Outlet Shopping Day will be celebrated from June 12th through the 15th at the Grand Prairie Premium Outlets on 2950 West Interstate 20. You can enjoy major savings at the outlet stores, with four days of great deals and a free tote bag. Be sure to visit and maybe get your dad something for Father’s Day!
Juneteenth Celebrations
Grand Prairie Parks, Arts, and Recreation will be hosting annual Juneteenth Celebrations from June 12th through the 14th. On the 12th from 6pm to 8pm you can enjoy the Juneteenth Volleyball Classic at the Dalworth Recreation Center. On the 13th from 6:30pm to 9:30pm there will be a block party at EpicCentral. There will be great music, amazing food, and more for the whole family to enjoy. On the 14th, the Annual Juneteenth Parade will start downtown at 9am and end at the Tyre Park.
Summer Concert Series
The annual Summer Concert Series is back starting on Thursday June 12th from 7pm to 9pm. Hosted by the Grand Prairie Parks, Arts, and Recreation Department, these will take place at Lynn Creek Park at Joe Pool Lake. The show on the 12th is Latin Night, featuring the sounds and energy of Canta Rhythm and Brass. You and your family can enjoy live music, dancing, food from local food trucks, and more. Admission is free for local residents, and out of towners just need to pay $20 per car.
