Night of Frights
If you are looking for something fun and spooky to see with the family, then take in Ripley’s Believe of Not Nights of Frights from Saturday October 5th through the 26th. They’re located on 601 East Palace Parkway, and from 1pm until 11pm you and your family can check out the Wax Museum of Fear, the 7D Carnival Ride, and even try to escape the Haunted Mirror Maze. There are also live actors running around to add to the atmosphere. Admission is $29, and includes Addyson to all of the events.
Farmers Market
Find something local and unique at the Grand Prairie Farmers Market on Saturday, October 5th on 120 West Main Street from 8am until 1pm, every Saturday between now and December 14th. You can support local farmers, vendors, bakers, and artists by purchasing unique goods, from veggies, baked goods, salsas, butter, eggs, and honey, to custom art and other locally made goods.
Flight of the Monarch
Celebrate the beautiful Monarch butterfly with the Flight of the Monarch Festival taking place on Saturday, October 5th from noon until 6pm at 2961 State Highway 161. The event is free and your family can see millions of these butterflies as they start their migration south for the winter. Thousands attend each year, and there is live music, food vendors, games, and more. A great day for the whole family to enjoy!
