October is here, which means fall and Halloween events will be taking place in our community. Each Friday, we like to focus on community events, talking about activities happening in our city. Para Pickleball Night
Para Pickleball Night will take place from October 13th through January 12th at the Chicken N Pickle on 2965 South Highway 161. This is open for everyone and is a free opportunity to learn more about playing pickleball! Each session is from 6pm until 8pm.
Art and Music Festival
The Epic Art and Music Festival on the GrandLawn event takes place on Saturday, October 18th from 3pm until 9pm. The festival takes place on 2961 South State Highway 161. There will be live music, art vendors and more for everyone to enjoy!
Main Street Fest
Be sure you mark your calendars for the 2025 Main Street Fest from October 24th through the 26th. This will take place in downtown Grand Prairie on 120 West Main Street. Three days of activities and events for everyone to enjoy. Admission and parking are free, with live music all weekend, rides and games, arts and crafts, and vendors of all kinds. There is even a Kids Zone for little ones to enjoy.
Street and Treat
Mark your calendars for the annual Street N Treat taking place on Halloween from 5pm until 9pm. Head downtown for an evening of Halloween celebrations, and admission is free! There will be trick or treating kids craft activities, a petting zoo, inflatables to jump in, and a costume contest. There will also be food vendors and more, so make sure you and your kiddos attend!
Dia De Los Muertos
Celebrate Dia De Los Muertos on Saturday, November 1st at 6pm. The event will take place on 120 West Main Street. Admission is free, and there will be a community Ofrenda altar, traditional cultural performances, a parade, and local food vendors. There are also family-friendly activities for everyone to enjoy!
