Elvis Returns
Check out renowned Elvis impersonator Kraig Parker on Saturday, July 12th at 7:30pm at the Uptown Theater. Kraig will be on stage with the Royal Tribute Band, performing hits from across Elvis Presly’s storied career.
R&B Smooth Groove
Enjoy an epic evening of R&B at the R&B Summer Groove on Saturday, July 12th at 8:00pm at the Texas trust CU Theatre on 1001 Texas Trust Way. Performances will include legends like Ashanti, Dru Hill, and more! A great way to spend a summer evening, so don’t miss out!
Summer at CNP
Summer at the Chicken N Pickle takes place each Tuesday from July 15th through the 29th at the Chicken N Pickle on 2965 South Highway 161. This will include a Taco Tuesday Deal all day, with tacos for just $3.50 each and a combo with a drink and soda for just $9.99. From 11am until 1pm kids can eat at half price with a purchase of an adult meal of $10.99 or more. Adults can try specialty drinks and kids can play Kids Bingo from noon to 1pm, with prizes and plenty of fun for the whole family.
Movies on the Beach
Movies on the Beach will take place on Fridays throughout the summer. The next one is Friday, July 18th at 7pm. The movies will take place on the beach at the Loyd Park at Joe Pool Lake. This event is hosted by the Grand Prairie Parks, Art, and Recreation Department. The next movie is Sing 2. Admission is $20 per vehicle and the park is located at 3401 Ragland Road.
GP Nature Club
The GP Nature Club takes place on Saturday, July 26th from 9am until noon, and is presented by the Grand Prairie Parks, Arts, and Recreation. The event takes place at Loyd Park at Joe Pool Lake on 3401 Ragland Road. The theme is Wildlife Watch, and kids can learn about observing animals, learning how to track them, and looking for signs that animals leave behind. The cost is $20 per vehicle.
