GP Nature Club
Kids can enjoy summer fun at the Grand Prairie Nature Club on Saturday, July 26th from 9am until noon. Hosted by the Grand Prairie Parks, Arts, and Recreation department, this will take place at Loyd Park at Joe Pool Lake on 3401 Ragland Road. Kids can learn about tracking and observing local wildlife, finding out about the signs animals leave behind. Admission is $20 per vehicle. There will be an animal tracks rubbing table, scat facts match game, a binocular hunt, and a sound ID station. Kids can also make wildlife masks, build nests, and play games and trivia!
Madagascar Jr.
Your whole family can enjoy a performance of Madagascar Jr. on Saturday July 26th from 2pm until 5pm. Presented by the Tift Theatre’s Summer Camp, this is a show put on by kids! The play will take place at the Uptown Theatre on 120 East Main Street.
Summer at CNP
On Tuesday July 29th from noon to 10pm you and your family can enjoy Summer at CNP, at the Chicken N Pickle on 2965 South Highway 161. From 11am until 1pm there are half-off kids’ meals with the purchase of an adult meal, and taco deals all day long! There are specialty drinks too, and kids’ bingo with fun prices from noon to 1pm.
Open Mic
Always wanted to try standup comedy? Well, now is your chance! You can take part in an open mic on Wednesday July 30th at FireHouse Gastro Park on 321 West Main Street. See if you got what it takes and enjoy an evening of local comedy!
