Summer Bash
Summer BASH! is taking place from now through the 26th at the Epic Waters Indoor Waterpark on 2970 Epic Place. This is the largest indoor waterpark in Texas, and in addition to the water slides and pools, there will be a live DJ, face painting, craft stations, and a meet and greet with the Mystical Mermaids. The park also features an outdoor wave pool, the longest indoor lazy river in the state, and a full-service bar for adults. A great way to spend the holiday weekend with your family.
Memorial Day Music Fest
The 2025 Memorial Day Music Fest is taking place on Sunday, May 15th starting at 10am. The festival is located at Traders Village on 2602 Mayfield Road. You can see performances from Grupo Metal, Chris Perez and the Tejano Queen Forever Band, and more! There are over 3,000 vendors on site, and an all-day ride wristband is only $14.99. Admission is free and this is open for the whole family! Enjoy a day of music, rides, and more!
Memorial Day Celebration
You and the family can take in the 2025 Memorial Day Ceremony on Monday, May 26th starting at 10am. This is presented by the Grand Prairie Parks, Art, and Recreation department, and takes place at the Veterans Park Event Center on 925 Conover Drive. You can help pay tribute to the service men and women who gave their lives for our country. A dedicated brass bell will be rang after each name is read of the man and women from Grand Prairie who gave the ultimate sacrifice. The Grand Prairie Police Honor Guard will then give a 21-gun salute and Taps will be plated. Afterward, everyone can celebrate with a hotdog lunch and lemonade provided by the Grand Prairie Rotary Clubs.
Taco Fest
While this weekend has a ton of things happening in the city, don’t forget about next weekend, when Texas Monthly Taco Fest is happening on May 31st from 5pm until 8:30pm. The festival takes place at EpicCentral on 2961 State Highway 161. 15 vendors will be onsite with amazing tacos for your family to enjoy, all from Texas Monthly’s top 50 tacos list. There will also be live music and a fun celebratory atmosphere.
